What readers are saying about the Project Kids Adventures Series

Peter Taylor, PMP

The Lazy Project Manager

Children are our future it is said, and projects are our business future. In creating the Project Kids, Gary combines these two to provide an entertaining and educational platform for the kids of today (and project managers of tomorrow).

Isabelina Jorge, PMP

PMI Portugal Chapter

It is not only an excellent reading book but also a good reference and tool for teachers and parents to convey to their children the universal language of project management.A must-read book for children, teachers, schools and …project managers, to support PMI school initiatives.

Fairooz Tamimi

Award Winning Novelist and PMP

Well written story with a parent’s eye, a child’s language and a professional’s keenness on simplification and comprehension. A must-have in your library if you want your child to start thinking project management automatically! As an author, parent and project management professional, I enjoyed the reading from cover to cover. Thanks Gary!

About the author

Gary M. Nelson, PMP

I am a Project Manager and father of three boys. I am passionate about sharing knowledge and making Project Management concepts more accessible, particularly to new and aspiring Project Managers (of all ages). Said another way, I like to tell stories to help convey complex concepts in a way that helps the concepts “stick”. Who says learning shouldn’t be fun?

I am thrilled that my books are being used to support Project Management education, and I hope you gain some useful tips, or at least some food for thought.

But who am I, anyway? I am a Canadian, living “down under” in New Zealand with my family, and loving every bit of it.

I am also an IT Project Manager who has worked in the Telecom, Student Information Systems, Local Government and Healthcare sectors since graduating from Simon Fraser University (BC, Canada) in 1989. My international experience includes projects in New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the US and Canada.

I enjoy speaking and training, and have presented at numerous industry events and conferences.
